Friday 24 April 2026 — NASDAQ 100 Daily Review
Data: Close 2026-04-24 | NAS100: 26,937.28 | Change: +458 pts (+1.73%) | Session High: 27,286.45 (fresh all-time high) | VIX: 18.87

Market Overview
The NAS100 closed at a fresh all-time high of 26,937.28, up +1.73% on the session after Intel's blowout Q1 print and blockbuster Q2 guidance ($13.8-14.8bn vs $13.0bn est.) re-ignited the semiconductor complex for an 18th straight session. The rally was broad but semi-led: AMD +13.91% on 2.10x relative volume, QCOM +11.12% on 2.74x RV, and the equipment names (KLAC, LRCX, AMAT) all pushed against multi-year highs. The mega-cap complex participated modestly - NVDA +4.30%, AMZN +3.47%, META +2.41%, MSFT +2.13%, GOOGL +1.63% - ahead of a critical earnings week (MSFT/META 29 Apr, AMZN/GOOGL 29 Apr, AAPL 30 Apr).

Overall bias: BULLISH. 33 of 40 tracked NAS100 components trade above their EMA20 and EMA50 (24 above all three EMAs). Only 5 are in full bearish structure (WDAY, TSLA, NFLX, TMUS, INTU). Structure is late-cycle extended but intact.

Trend Analysis
EMA Stack: The index holds a clean bullish stack - price > EMA20 > EMA50 > EMA200 on the daily. Every major sector (Mega-cap Tech, Semis, Software, Consumer) registers a net positive bullish classification.
Market Structure: Higher highs, higher lows. Today's close is a fresh 52-week closing high. Intraday print tagged 27,286.45 before giving back ~349 points into the close - classic profit-taking into record territory.
Phase: Trending bullish, over-extended. RSI on the index > 70 historically signals optimism but also reversion risk. Breadth is the watch item: if further gains come with just 5-6 semi names leading, treat it as a distribution warning.

Indicator Signals
RSI(14): NAS100 > 70 — overbought but within an accelerating trend. 13 of 40 components now print RSI > 70, up from 6 yesterday.
MACD: Index MACD reads +269.5 with histogram expanding - still clean long signal, no cross brewing.
Volume: Above-average across semis (AMD 2.10x, QCOM 2.74x, SNPS 1.67x). Mega-caps ran lighter volume - tape waiting for next week's prints.

Sector Grouping
Semiconductors (avg +4.21%, 9/9 bullish) - AMD, QCOM, TXN, AMAT, MU, LRCX, KLAC, ADI, MRVL. The clear leadership group. Every name in bullish EMA stack. RSI extended across the board (KLAC 75.7, AMD 88.9, MRVL 87.3, TXN 83.6, AVGO 77.8). Sustainability depends on NVDA holding 52w highs next week.
Mega-cap Tech (avg +1.96%, 7/7 bullish) - AAPL, MSFT, NVDA, AMZN, META, GOOGL, AVGO. All bullish stacks, AMZN and NVDA at/near 52w highs. AAPL the lone red name (-0.87%) on valuation rotation.
Software/Cloud (avg +3.95%, 5/8 bullish) - SNPS +9.62% and CDNS +5.90% led the EDA complex; CRWD, PANW, FTNT all bullish. Laggards: ADBE (mixed), INTU and WDAY (bearish structure, but WDAY caught a +4.44% relief bounce).
Consumer/Internet (avg +0.49%, 8/10 bullish) - BKNG, MELI, MAR, ABNB, ORLY, DASH, PYPL green or bullish-structured. TSLA and NFLX remain the weak links in bearish stacks. COST -0.32% pausing at 52w high.
Healthcare/Biotech (avg -0.59%, 1/2 bullish) - REGN -1.89% back below EMA20/50, ISRG holding a 20/50 reclaim but still sub-EMA200. The weakest sub-group on the index.
Industrial/Other (avg +1.45%, 3/4 bullish) - CEG +7.08% on big volume reclaim of EMA200, CSCO and LIN holding 52w-high structure. TMUS is the sector drag, sub-everything.

Bearish Warnings
BEARISH TMUS - Full bearish EMA stack, RSI 37.1, MACD -4.47/-4.20, close $189.80 (-2.20%) only $8.44 off 52w low. Phone-carrier space rotating out on rate/subscriber concerns.
BEARISH NFLX - Bear(all), RSI 40.6, close $92.36 below all EMAs. Ad-tier growth deceleration priced in but momentum still sub-50D.
BEARISH TSLA - Bear(all), RSI 48.9 neutral but MACD negative (-0.28/-3.27). Close $376.30 below EMA20/50/200; 52w low $249 nowhere near but trend is broken.
BEARISH INTU - Bear(all), RSI 46.4. MACD deeply negative (-10.02/-12.71). Close $395.95 is 51.3% off 52w high $813.70 - epic breakdown still unwinding.
BEARISH WDAY - Bear(all) despite today's +4.44% bounce. RSI 42.8. Close $119.76 vs EMA200 $185.71 - bounce is countertrend until EMA50 ($136.91) reclaims.
BEARISH REGN - Bear(20/50), rolling off from a fading rally. RSI 48.2, close $751.57 below EMA20 ($754.73) and EMA50 ($756.57). Below-POC signal confirmed.

Divergence watch: AMD, MRVL, TXN and AVGO all register RSI > 77 while price sits at/near 52w highs - any price weakness while RSI fails to confirm would flag classic bearish divergence. Size-down add-ons until RSI cools or a clean pullback-and-reclaim forms.

Events Calendar — Week of 27 April 2026
Earnings (tracked names):
- Tue 28 Apr: Meta (META)
- Wed 29 Apr: Microsoft (MSFT), Alphabet (GOOGL), Amazon (AMZN)
- Thu 30 Apr: Apple (AAPL)
- Also due: BKNG, PYPL, META, PANW reports across the week - check earnings.com for time slots

Macro
- Tue 28 Apr: Consumer Confidence, Richmond Fed Mfg Survey
- Thu 30 Apr: Q1 GDP Advance (first read) + Initial Jobless Claims, PCE Deflator, ECI
- FOMC: Next decision 6 May - no Fed speakers in blackout heading into it

Trading stance into event risk: Trimming overbought swing longs and rolling into defined-risk option structures through Wed/Thu makes sense given 5 mega-caps print. A clean beat from the MSFT/GOOGL/AMZN trio probably extends the breakout to 27,500+. A disappointment from any single one of them is the single biggest downside catalyst.

NASDAQ 100 Daily Technical Analysis - Thursday 23 April 2026
Data: Close 2026-04-23 | Nasdaq Composite: 24,438.50 | Change: -219 pts (-0.89%) | VIX: 18.92

MARKET OVERVIEW
A two-speed Nasdaq today. Software was crushed after weak updates from IBM (-10.3%) and ServiceNow (-15% to -18%), reigniting fears that generative AI is eating into SaaS growth. Analog and memory chips, by contrast, ripped higher after a blockbuster Texas Instruments print. Of the 40 NAS100 names in our scanner, 27 closed lower and only 13 higher, yet the aggregate tape still held together because the heaviest weights (AAPL, GOOGL, AMZN, AVGO, NVDA) stayed close to the flatline.

Key drivers: TXN +19.43% lifted the semis complex; ADI +5.89%, MRVL +5.24%, AMD +0.62% all piggy-backed. Software was the clear loser: WDAY -9.42%, ADBE -6.63%, INTU -6.21%, CDNS -5.21%, FTNT -4.97%, PANW -4.41%, MSFT -3.97%. Oil surged on renewed Iran geopolitical tension, lifting VIX intraday toward 20 before settling at 18.92.

Overall bias: Still structurally bullish (22 of 40 Bull above all three EMAs, 37 of 40 MACD positive) but short-term tape is defensive and rotational. Treat this as a sector-divergence day, not a trend break.

TREND ANALYSIS
Aggregate EMA stack (40 names):
Bull (above all three) - 22 stocks: AAPL, ABNB, ADI, AMAT, AMD, AMZN, AVGO, CDNS, COST, CRWD, CSCO, GOOGL, KLAC, LIN, LRCX, MAR, META, MRVL, MU, NVDA, REGN, TXN
Bull (above 20/50 but below 200) - 7 stocks: DASH, FTNT, MSFT, ORLY, PANW, PYPL, SNPS
Bear (below all three) - 7 stocks: ADBE, BKNG, INTU, NFLX, TMUS, TSLA, WDAY
Mixed - 4 stocks: CEG, ISRG, MELI, QCOM

Market structure remains a higher-low, higher-high daily trend on the aggregate; today's red candle is shallow versus recent gains and did not break the 20-day EMA on most leaders. Current phase: Consolidation inside an uptrend, with a clear sector rotation out of software and into chips.

INDICATOR SIGNALS
RSI(14): Six names in overbought territory (>=70): ADI 80.3, AMD 83.6, AMZN 76.4, AVGO 77.2, MRVL 89.2, TXN 88.6. Zero names oversold. Watch for mean-reversion pullbacks on the chip leaders; none of them show bearish price/RSI divergence yet but the elastic is stretched.

MACD: 37 of 40 with line above signal - overwhelmingly bullish momentum despite the red tape. Only TSLA, NFLX, and ADBE show MACD line below signal in combination with a negative histogram. INTU, WDAY, and BKNG are below signal too but already in recovery posture.

Volume: Above-average print on the main movers - TXN RelVol 3.62 (huge), ADBE 1.80, WDAY 1.69, AMD/MRVL around 1.1-1.2. Selling in software came with volume, which matters; chip rallies came with conviction too.

KEY LEVELS - NASDAQ 100 INDEX
Resistance:
R1 - 27,000 round-number psychological (first pivot above 22-Apr 26,937 close)
R2 - 27,300 prior swing high from early April
R3 - 27,650 all-time-high zone

Support:
S1 - 26,700 today's estimated intraday low and 20-day EMA proxy
S2 - 26,400 rising 50-day EMA area
S3 - 26,000 March consolidation shelf and major line in the sand

Classic pivots (proxy from 26,937 Apr 22 close): S2 ~26,580 · S1 ~26,760 · P ~26,890 · R1 ~27,070 · R2 ~27,200

SECTOR GROUPING
Semiconductors - LEADING
NVDA, AVGO, AMD, TXN, ADI, AMAT, LRCX, KLAC, MU, MRVL, QCOM, MCHP-proxy
Group is ripping. TXN's guidance raise, ADI's sympathy move, AMD and AVGO sitting on Bull-above-all with strong MACD. Seven of the twelve chip names in our list have RSI above 60.

Software / Cloud - LAGGING
MSFT, ADBE, CRWD, INTU, PANW, WDAY, SNPS, CDNS, FTNT, PYPL
The weakest pocket of the Nasdaq today. Four of the ten are now Bear-below-all or Bear-below-20/50. Scan for rejection patterns at prior support before trying to bottom-fish.

Mega-cap Tech - STABLE
AAPL, MSFT, NVDA, AMZN, META, GOOGL
Muted action. AAPL +0.10%, GOOGL -0.13%, AMZN -0.11% - the largest names held the line while mid-cap software sold off. MSFT is the only weak link among the megacaps today.

Consumer / Internet - MIXED TO WEAK
TSLA -3.56%, BKNG -1.48%, ABNB -1.60%, MELI -2.78%, DASH -2.89%, NFLX -0.45%, MAR +0.31%, PYPL -2.87%

Healthcare / Biotech - DEFENSIVE BID
REGN +2.60%, ISRG -0.99%. Biotech catching a rotation bid as growth money exits software.

Industrial / Other - FIRM
LIN +2.72%, CEG +1.95%, COST +1.06% - boring names doing well on a risk-rotation day.

TOP SWING TRADE SETUPS

1. TXN - Post-Earnings Momentum Long (Wait for Pullback)
Trend: BULLISH - gap above all EMAs, fresh 52-week high at 284.12, MACD explosively bullish, RSI 88.6 overbought.
Setup: Blow-off move on 3.62x relative volume. Do NOT chase. Wait for a pullback to the breakout zone.
Entry: 268-272 (prior resistance now support, above Cam S4 268.58) · Stop: 263 (below EMA20 221 ATR buffer tight) · T1: 284 (retest high) · T2: 300 (classic R2) · R:R: 1:2.6
Why: Stifel flipped Hold to Buy with 250 target, TD Cowen Buy with 250, Mizuho upgraded. Analog upcycle thesis. POC 214.51 is now a distant floor, proving the structural shift. Risk: RSI 88 = dip first.

2. ADI - Sympathy Chip Continuation
Trend: BULLISH - Bull above all, fresh 52w high, EMA20 354 / EMA50 335 / EMA200 288, MACD 16.89/10.91.
Entry: 398-402 (classic S1 397 / pivot 402) · Stop: 388 (below Camarilla S4 + ATR 11.5) · T1: 415 (R2) · T2: 425 · R:R: 1:1.8
Why: ADI is the natural sympathy trade to TXN - same analog/industrial demand drivers, less extended RSI at 80. POC 333 well below price; price discovery zone is intact.

3. AVGO - Trend Continuation on Pullback
Trend: BULLISH - EMA stack wide, MACD 24.42/17.61, RSI 77 still has room.
Entry: 410-413 (classic S2 410.84 confluence with Cam S4 413.61) · Stop: 403 (below prior daily low 417 minus ATR 12.52) · T1: 427 (R1) · T2: 440 (round number above 52w high) · R:R: 1:2.1
Why: Only modestly red today (-0.64%) versus broad tape weakness - relative strength signal. Volume muted (RelVol 0.82) - sellers are not pressing.

4. MU - Memory Recovery Long
Trend: BULLISH - Bull above all, EMA200 296 vs price 481.72 (massive), MACD 20.62/12.82, RSI 66.2.
Entry: 470-475 (above POC 408 and rising 20-EMA) · Stop: 455 (1 ATR below entry) · T1: 493 (52w high retest) · T2: 510 · R:R: 1:1.9
Why: RSI 66 and MACD rising - less extended than TXN/ADI/MRVL, still in the chip leadership basket. Best chip pick if you do not want to chase extension.

5. WDAY - Short Rallies
Trend: BEARISH - Bear below all, close 114.67 just above 52w low 110.36, MACD -3.70/-4.50, RSI 36.9.
Entry: Short 119-121 (classic R1/R2 118-121 confluence with EMA20 125) · Stop: 126 (above EMA20) · T1: 111 (52w low) · T2: 103 (S3 classic) · R:R: 1:1.7
Why: Today's candle is a -9.42% gap-down with 1.69x RelVol. Guidance genuinely disappointed. Bear flag entries at prior-support-turned-resistance favour shorts until the daily close back above EMA20.

BEARISH WARNINGS
WDAY - Close 114.67 is only 3.9% above 52w low 110.36. Death-cross stack EMA20 < EMA50 < EMA200 all above price. Fresh -9.42% gap with 1.69x volume confirms breakdown.
INTU - Down 52.9% from 52w high. Bear stack and negative MACD histogram widening. No reversal signal yet - do not bottom-fish.
ADBE - Bear below all. MACD negative. Close 238.98 only 6.6% above 52w low 224.13. AI-cannibalisation narrative is now the dominant driver.
NFLX - Bear below all EMAs, 30.8% off 52w high. RSI 41 with MACD crossing back down (0.55 / 1.99) - watch for break of daily low 92.07 as continuation signal.
TSLA - Bear below all. Down 3.56% with MACD negative and accelerating. Key line: close below Cam S4 364 opens 350 then 340.
Overbought risk: TXN 88, MRVL 89, AMD 83, ADI 80, AVGO 77, AMZN 76. Any one of these can snap back 5-8% on a quiet-volume session. Size positions accordingly.

EVENTS CALENDAR - NEXT 48 HOURS
Fri 24 Apr: Durable Goods Orders (Mar, Advance), University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment (Final). Both market-moving, both pre-open US.

Monday-Tuesday 27-28 Apr earnings to watch in the NAS100: No confirmed major NAS100 prints during Friday session - quiet day for single-stock catalysts inside the index after this week's heavy tech calendar. Full tech earnings slate resumes next week.

Geopolitical overlay: Iran tensions continue to support oil and volatility. WTI pushed near $91/bbl during the session. A further escalation would weigh on risk-assets overall and likely hit software/consumer more than chips.

NAS100 DAILY TECHNICAL ANALYSIS · Wednesday 22 April 2026
Data: Close 2026-04-22 · NAS100: 26,937.28 · Change: +457.80 (+1.73%) · VIX: 19.5

MARKET OVERVIEW
NAS100 posted a powerful session, closing at 26,937.28 — up 457.80 points (+1.73%) — on broad semiconductor and mega-cap leadership. The tape was driven by a blowout day in chips (MU +8.48%, AMD +6.67%, AVGO +5.09%, MRVL +3.96%) as capex demand from AI hyperscalers continues to flow through to the supply chain. Consumer and travel names lagged, with BKNG -6% on soft forward bookings guidance and TMUS -3.31% on subscriber-growth concerns.

Market breadth within our 40-stock universe was strongly bullish: 29 of 40 constituents closed above both their 20- and 50-day EMAs, with 23 in full bull alignment (above all three key EMAs). Only 4 names remain in strict bear alignment (below all three). VIX closed at 19.50, ticking up modestly (+3.34%) despite the rally — a sign that index option traders are pricing some hedging into tomorrow's TSLA / INTC earnings risk.

Overall bias: BULLISH — but extended. With NDX RSI(14) near 74 and the index ~10% above its 200-day EMA, chase risk is elevated. Favour pullbacks into the 20EMA over breakout chases at index level; stock-level setups where RSI is below 70 and price is reclaiming key EMAs offer the cleanest R:R.

TREND ANALYSIS
EMA stack: BULLISH — Price > EMA20 > EMA50 > EMA200 on the index. 50EMA at ~25,442 and 200EMA at ~24,525 are diverging positively, confirming medium-term uptrend.
Market structure: Higher highs, higher lows since the early-April swing low near 25,770. Today's close is a fresh monthly high and within touching distance of the 52-week high for the tech universe.
Phase: Trending advance — price action has broken out above the 26,700 consolidation band with expanding volume in leading semis.

INDEX INDICATOR SIGNALS
RSI(14): 74.3 — OVERBOUGHT. No bearish divergence visible — new price highs on new RSI highs. Momentum remains synchronised with price, but the overbought reading urges caution on fresh longs.
MACD: Line above signal with expanding positive histogram — bullish continuation.
Volume: Above 20-day average on the rally, driven by semi leadership. Relative volume in MU (0.96), AMD (1.31) and AVGO (1.01) confirmed their gap-and-go moves.

KEY NAS100 INDEX LEVELS

R2: 27,200 — near-term measured-move target off the recent consolidation

Entry: 475-480 on pullback to breakout zone · Stop: 455 (below 20EMA buffer, ATR 26.35) · T1: 505 · T2: 533 (R3 pivot extension) · R:R: 1:2.5
Thesis: +8.48% session on memory super-cycle thesis. Price 66% above 200EMA and well clear of POC at 407. RSI 68.3 leaves room before overbought. Watch for a standard 0.5 ATR pullback before entry to avoid chasing.

3. KLAC · Semi Cap Equipment Continuation · LONG
Close 1812.06 (+1.49%) · RSI 68.7 · MACD bull · Above all EMAs · -0.6% from 52wHi · POC 1508.41
Entry: 1785-1800 on pullback to Cam R1 retest · Stop: 1720 (below 20EMA 1678) · T1: 1860 · T2: 1900 · R:R: 1:1.6
Thesis: Less extended than MU/AMD; RSI 68.7 still below 70. Sits 0.6% from 52wHi — natural magnet for breakout flow. MACD 85.79 vs 72.09 signal, healthy separation.

4. ABNB · Travel Recovery Breakout · LONG
Close 144.18 (+1.07%) · RSI 68.7 · MACD bull · Above all EMAs · -2.1% from 52wHi · POC 128.69
Entry: 142-144 (any pullback to Cam R1 zone) · Stop: 134 (below 20EMA) · T1: 148 · T2: 155 · R:R: 1:2.1
Thesis: Only 2% from 52wHi (147.25), daily high tagged the 52w high. RV 1.2 shows accumulation. Defies today's BKNG/MAR travel weakness — relative strength signal.

5. META · Mega-cap Recovery Long · LONG
Close 674.72 (+0.88%) · RSI 63.5 · MACD bull · Above EMA20/50 but below EMA200 · -15.3% from 52wHi · POC 637.80
Entry: 670-675 on retest of breakout · Stop: 640 (below 20EMA 638.61) · T1: 705 · T2: 735 · R:R: 1:2.5
Thesis: MACD line 17.19 vs signal 7.76 — very wide bullish separation. RV low at 0.49, so breakout lacks conviction yet — confirmation above 685 unlocks momentum toward 200EMA reclaim at 651 → pivoting bullish on longer timeframes.

EVENTS CALENDAR
Tonight (Wednesday 22 April, post-close):
TSLA — Q1 2026 earnings (Robotaxi, AI capex focus)

Thursday 23 April:
INTC, GILD, CMCSA earnings (tech reports)
HON, AXP, UNP, LMT, TMO, NEE earnings (macro read-throughs)
US Initial Jobless Claims (13:30 UK)

Friday 24 April:
University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment final (April)

Read-throughs for NAS100:
TSLA earnings tonight are the single biggest catalyst — a miss could pressure mega-cap growth into Thursday, while a beat unlocks fresh highs toward 27,500. INTC Thursday is a semi-sector read; weakness would tap AMD/NVDA/AVGO profit-taking given stretched RSIs.

NAS100 Daily Technical Analysis - Tuesday 21 April 2026
Data: Close 2026-04-21 | NAS100: ~26,430 | Change: -131 (-0.49%) | Range: 26,350-26,620

MARKET OVERVIEW

US tech gave back ground on Tuesday as geopolitical risk (U.S.-Iran ceasefire uncertainty) weighed on broad risk assets. The NAS100 drifted roughly -0.5% to finish near 26,430, while the Nasdaq Composite closed -0.59% at 24,259.96, the S&P 500 -0.63% at 7,064.01 and the Dow -0.59% at 49,149.38. VIX firmed to 18.87.

Under the surface, leadership was bifurcated. Semiconductors and cybersecurity names outperformed aggressively (CRWD +3.80%, AMD +3.47%, FTNT +3.22%, PANW +3.18%, MRVL +2.35%), while a handful of heavyweight names and defensive tech dragged (AAPL -2.52%, ISRG -3.07%, CEG -3.42%, DASH -3.87%, NFLX -2.37%).

Across our 40-stock NASDAQ 100 scan: 16 advancers vs 23 decliners (1 flat), average change -0.11%. Despite the mixed tape, 31 of 40 stocks closed above their 60-day Point of Control and 35 of 40 held bullish MACD crossovers - the medium-term uptrend remains intact.

Overall bias: BULLISH medium-term, NEUTRAL short-term. Chips and cyber still lead; mega-cap tech is pausing. Tesla Q1 earnings (Wed 22 Apr AMC) is the pivotal near-term catalyst.

TREND ANALYSIS

EMA stack (index level): NAS100 EMA20 > EMA50 > EMA200 - classic bullish alignment holding from the late-2025 rally. A slow-turning 20EMA now provides first dynamic support.

Market structure: Sequence of higher-highs / higher-lows intact on the daily. Today's pullback is inside the prior two sessions' range - characteristic of a pause, not a reversal.

Current phase: Bullish trend in digestion mode. Short-term momentum is cooling (breadth deterioration today), but the underlying trend (index above all three EMAs, RSI mid-60s) has not been violated. Watch for a consolidation between 26,300-26,620 before the next leg.

INDICATOR SIGNALS

RSI (14): NAS100 mid-60s - bullish regime, not yet overbought. Internally, 7 components are >70 (ADI, MRVL, AMZN, AVGO, AMD, CSCO, TXN) - chip leadership is extended but not failing. 0 stocks in our universe are oversold (<30).

MACD: Histogram positive and expanding on the index; 35/40 components show MACD line above signal. Only 5 names with bearish MACD: REGN, COST, NFLX, TMUS, LIN.

Volume: Relative volume across the universe today was mixed - conviction on the upside moves (CRWD, AMD, PANW) was solid (RV 0.94-1.11), but several losers (AAPL 1.15, ISRG 1.46, TMUS 1.89) saw above-average participation on the decline, which is a short-term caution flag for those specific names.

SECTOR GROUPING AND TRENDS

Semiconductors - 12/13 Bull (above all) - avg +0.31%
The undisputed leadership group. AVGO, AMD, MRVL, TXN, AMAT, KLAC, LRCX, ADI, MU, CDNS, SNPS all bull-aligned with strong MACD. Several extended (RSI>70) but volume is sticky - trend-followers stay long, no reason to fade yet.

Software/Cloud - 4/8 Bull (above all) - avg +1.79%
Cybersecurity (CRWD, PANW, FTNT) joined the party today with strong closes; CRWD and PANW broke out with conviction. ADBE, INTU, WDAY still in recovery mode below EMA200 - lagging but basing.

Mega-cap Tech - 5/6 Bull (above all) - avg -0.55%
Group pulled back today led by AAPL -2.52%. MSFT, NVDA, AMZN, META, GOOGL remain technically intact. AAPL is still above all three EMAs but today's -2.52% on 1.15x RV suggests short-term distribution - watch the 260 EMA50 zone.

Consumer/Internet - 3/10 Bull (above all) - avg -1.00%
Mixed: BKNG, MAR, ABNB, MELI bull-aligned; NFLX (-2.37%) now Bear (below all) and DASH (-3.87%) the weakest name of the day. TSLA drifting pre-earnings.

Healthcare/Biotech - 0/2 Bull (above all) - avg -1.67%
Outright weak. ISRG Bear (below all) and -3.07% today; REGN Bear (below 20/50). Avoid long exposure here until structure repairs.

Industrial/Other - 1/4 Bull (above all) - avg -0.83%
CSCO is the bright spot (74 RSI, near 52w high). CEG -3.42% ugly day, now Bear (below all). TMUS Bear (below all) with 1.89x RV today - accelerated distribution.

BEARISH WARNINGS

CEG - Close 277.73 (-3.42%), Bear (below all EMAs). MACD bearish (-3.13 vs -3.75), above RV at 1.15. Price broke below EMA50 and EMA20 weeks ago and now below EMA200 - structural damage.

NFLX - Close 92.58 (-2.37%), Bear (below all EMAs) after today's break below EMA200. MACD still positive but weakening, RSI 40.7 bleeding. RV 1.26 confirms distribution.

TMUS - Close 195.39 (-1.50%), Bear (below all EMAs). MACD deeply bearish (-4.08 vs -4.00), RV 1.89x - heaviest distribution in the scan. Near 52w lows zone.

ISRG - Close 451.29 (-3.07%), Bear (below all EMAs). RV 1.46x. Structural downtrend since late-2025 peak.

DASH - Close 182.45 (-3.87%), the session's biggest loser. Still Bull (above 20/50) but EMA200 198.81 capping upside; MACD line positive but signal just flipped below. Watch 170 EMA20 - break there and the structure breaks.

REGN - Close 747.36, Bear (below 20/50). MACD bearish. Biotech weakness persists.

RSI OVERBOUGHT WATCH (potential short-term exhaustion): ADI 72.5, MRVL 86.0 (extreme), AMZN 74.0, AVGO 74.6, AMD 79.4, CSCO 74.1, TXN 75.3. Do not short bull trends on RSI alone - but trim partials and tighten stops.

NASDAQ 100 Daily Technical Analysis — Monday, 20 April 2026
Data: Close 20 Apr 2026 | NAS100: 26,560.79 | Change: -111.65 (-0.42%) | Range: 26,412.52 - 26,670.11 | VIX: 17.48

MARKET OVERVIEW

The NASDAQ 100 opened the new week on the back foot, closing -111.65 points (-0.42%) at 26,560.79 after printing an intraday high of 26,670.11 and a low of 26,412.52. The session traded inside Friday's range and finished mid-channel — a classic pause-day after an extended advance.

Under the surface the tape was split. Mega-cap names led the drag: META -2.56%, NFLX -2.55%, TSLA -2.03%, MSFT -1.12% and AMZN -0.91%. That weakness was offset by a strong bid in semis and specialty names — MRVL +5.83% (fresh 52-week high), WDAY +3.32%, DASH +3.21%, INTU +2.94%, ADI +2.58%, SNPS +2.53%, CDNS +2.42% and CRWD +2.17%.

Bias: Bullish but stretched. The long-term trend structure remains firmly intact — 33 of 40 constituents sit above their 20/50 EMAs — but the cluster of RSI readings >70 across semis and mega-caps flags short-term exhaustion risk. A pullback to reset momentum is the higher-probability path before the next leg. VIX at 17.48 remains benign, not stressed.

Key drivers: rotation from mega-cap tech into semi hardware and enterprise software; AI infrastructure demand continuing to power MRVL, AVGO, AMD, ADI and the foundry/equipment names; no macro catalyst today, but Tesla, Lam Research (22 Apr) and Intel, KLAC (23 Apr) earnings looming this week will dictate the semi complex tone.

TREND ANALYSIS

EMA stack on the index: bullish alignment. Spot (26,560) > EMA20 > EMA50 > EMA200 on the daily timeframe, with EMA20 acting as dynamic support through the April push.

Market structure: sequence of higher highs / higher lows intact. Today's low (26,412) held above the 4-week rising trendline and well above the 21-day EMA zone. No structural break.

Current phase: Trending up, consolidating near highs. The last six sessions have printed a tight ~1.5% range at the top of the advance — textbook flag/bull-pause behaviour. Break above 26,672 (Friday's close) opens 26,800-26,900; a close below 26,400 would open a deeper flush to the 20-day EMA near 26,150.

INDICATOR SIGNALS

RSI(14): Index RSI ~62 — firmly in bull territory but not yet overbought. However, breadth is getting hot: 15 of 40 components are now at RSI >= 70, led by MRVL 85, ADI 78, AMD 76.9, TXN 76.1, AVGO 74.0, AMZN 73.1, MAR 73.2, NVDA 71.6. That kind of breadth in overbought readings historically precedes a 1-3% breather.

MACD: Daily MACD on the index remains above signal, histogram expanding but flattening. 34 of 40 stocks still show MACD > signal — confirming the uptrend is broad. Watch for the histogram to start contracting as an early warning.

Volume: Relative volume across the basket averaged ~0.87x — a soft-volume drift lower, which is typical of orderly consolidation rather than distribution. Notable volume prints: NFLX 1.44x (selling into the decline, bearish), MRVL 1.40x (buying into breakout, bullish), ISRG 1.34x, ADI 1.25x, WDAY 1.22x.

SECTOR SNAPSHOT

Mega-cap Tech: BULLISH structurally, CAUTIOUS tactically. All six names still above all EMAs (MSFT above 20/50 only). Today's tape showed distribution in META/AMZN/TSLA. Wait for consolidation to finish before adding.

Semiconductors: DOMINANT LEADERSHIP. 12 of 12 names above their 20/50 EMAs; 10 of 12 above all three EMAs. MRVL, ADI, TXN, KLAC, AMD all at or within 5% of 52-week highs. Sector is hot — tactical pullbacks are for buying, breakout chases are not.

Software / Cloud / Cyber: IMPROVING. ADBE, INTU, WDAY still recovering (below EMA200) but showing bullish MACD turns on volume. CRWD/PANW/FTNT in steady uptrends. CEG is the standout bear — avoid long exposure.

Consumer / Internet: MIXED. Travel/hospitality strong (ABNB, MAR, BKNG, MELI). DASH breakout continuing. NFLX is the clear weak link — below all EMAs, MACD rolling over.

Healthcare / Biotech: LAGGING. REGN and ISRG both below EMA20/50, bearish MACD, no recovery signal yet.

Industrial / Telecom: Divergent — LIN strong, TMUS weak.

TOP SWING TRADE SETUPS

1. AMD — Pullback-to-support long inside established uptrend
Above all EMAs, RSI 77 overbought, MACD expanding bullish. Prefer buying a dip rather than chasing.
Entry: 268-272 (retest of pivot and prior breakout shelf) · Stop: 258 (below classic S2 and recent swing low) · T1: 284 (R1) · T2: 296 · R:R: 1:1.1-1.6
Why: semi-sector leadership, AI demand narrative, EMA50 rising at 223.84 well below price, strong MACD confluence. POC at 217.65 confirms wide base.

2. AVGO — Bull-flag continuation long
Tight 10-point pullback from 52-week high 414.61. EMA stack bullish, RSI 74 hot but not divergent.
Entry: 398-401 (reclaim of pivot 400.65) · Stop: 389 (below classic S2 and cam S4) · T1: 411 (R2) · T2: 416 (R3 / new ATH) · R:R: 1:1.1-1.5
Why: trend-leader, prior-day R3 clustered with 52wH provides clear momentum trigger. MACD 20.52/12.23 well-spaced.

3. MRVL — Breakout-and-retest long only
Closed at the exact 52-week high 149.58 on strong RV 1.40x. RSI 85 is extreme — do NOT chase; wait.
Entry: 143-145 (first pullback to cam S3-S4 zone and pivot) · Stop: 138 (below classic S3) · T1: 156 (R3) · T2: 168 · R:R: 1:1.3-2.0
Why: fresh 52wH with volume, MACD 13.66/10.66. Trend is as strong as it gets, but RSI 85 demands a price reset before new long risk.

4. META — Mean-reversion long into key support
Today's -2.56% put META just above EMA20 (631) and EMA200 (651). This is the textbook reload zone.
Entry: 662-668 (cam S4 to today's low zone) · Stop: 649 (below classic S3 and EMA200 cluster) · T1: 680 (R1) · T2: 695 (R3) · R:R: 1:1.1-2.1
Why: structurally bullish, MACD still positive, price held above both EMA20 and EMA200. Distribution day creates the opportunity.

5. ADI — Parabolic caution — tight-stop momentum long
At 99% of 52-week high, RSI 78, RV 1.25x. Very strong but extended.
Entry: 378-381 on consolidation above pivot 378.74 · Stop: 372 (below classic S1) · T1: 388 (R1) · T2: 395 (R2) · R:R: 1:0.9-1.8
Why: trend, MACD and volume all confirm, but tight stop required given RSI 78. Small size only.

NAS100 Daily Technical Analysis — Friday 17 April 2026
Data: Close 17-Apr-2026 | NAS100 (NDX) session range: 26,114 - 26,401 | Nasdaq Composite: 24,468 (+1.52%) | S&P 500: 7,126 (+1.20%) | VIX: 17.94

MARKET OVERVIEW

NAS100 pushed toward a fresh intraday high near 26,401 on Friday as the broader Nasdaq Composite notched its 13th consecutive winning day — the longest streak since 1992. The tape was driven by easing US-Iran tensions after Tehran confirmed the Strait of Hormuz remains open, plus a continued rotation into mega-cap tech and semiconductors ahead of a heavy earnings slate. S&P 500 information technology earnings are now tracked for +46% growth this quarter versus +36% at the start of the year.

BULLISH bias remains intact into next week. Scanner shows 30 of 40 NAS100 components on a bullish EMA structure (20 fully above all three EMAs, 10 above the 20/50 pair), versus only 4 names in a bearish stack and 6 mixed. Ten stocks printed RSI(14) at or above 70 — a warning sign for near-term exhaustion, not a reversal signal on its own.

The exception: NFLX collapsed -9.72% to 97.31 after weak Q2 guidance (78c vs 84c consensus), revenue forecast of $12.57bn shy of $12.64bn estimate, and the surprise exit of co-founder/chairman Reed Hastings. That is a cluster of reasons, not noise — treat NFLX as guilty-until-proven-innocent for another session.

TREND ANALYSIS

EMA stack (index level): Price is trading well above the 20 and 50-day averages and has reclaimed the 200-day decisively. The stack is bullish, with the 20 above the 50 and both above the 200.

Market structure: Higher-highs / higher-lows pattern intact. Friday's high above 26,400 is the latest HH in the sequence that started from the 27 March VIX-31 washout.

Current phase: Extended trend-up / near-breakout. The fact that 13 of the last 13 sessions closed green is statistically rare — expect mean-reversion risk to build, but the weight of evidence still favours higher prices until proven otherwise.

INDICATOR SIGNALS

RSI(14): Aggregate NAS100 is approaching overbought. Ten components printed >=70 today: ADI (75.1), MAR (73.0), MRVL (82.3), MSFT (71.6), NVDA (71.4), AMZN (76.5), GOOGL (72.6), AVGO (79.1), AMD (80.2), TXN (74.2). MRVL and AMD are extended enough to watch for pullbacks rather than chase. No component is oversold (RSI<=30).

MACD: Broadly supportive. 34 of 40 components have the MACD line above signal. Notable exceptions with bearish MACD: INTU, TMUS, WDAY, REGN, COST, LIN, ADBE.

Volume: Friday was a mixed-volume tape. Relative volume above 1.2x: ADI (1.55), TSLA (1.28), AAPL (1.30), MSFT (1.30), MAR (1.23), NFLX (2.97 on the earnings gap), PYPL (1.14). The ADI, MAR, AAPL and TSLA volume expansion confirms their advances. Most others printed sub-1x — rally participation is getting narrower.

SECTOR BIAS SUMMARY

Semiconductors: strongest sector — 9 of 10 on a full Bull stack, 5 printed RSI > 70, and 5 are within 3% of their 52-week highs (AVGO, ADI, MRVL, AMAT, TXN). This is the engine of the rally.

Mega-cap Tech: firmly bullish — 6 of 7 on a Bull or Bull-20/50 stack with bullish MACD across the group. Only TSLA has a bearish MACD despite a +3% print today; the MACD line is still well below signal.

Consumer/Internet/Travel: bullish skew with MAR, ABNB and BKNG breaking out, but TMUS and NFLX are clear relative weakness.

Software: mixed-to-weak — INTU and WDAY are the worst charts on the entire NAS100 (Bear-All stack, MACD down, RSI mid-40s). ADBE is still below all three EMAs on structure though MACD has turned.

Industrial/Other + Healthcare: Mostly consolidation — CSCO is the only clean bull in this group.

TOP SWING TRADE SETUPS

1. ADI — Semis Breakout to New 52w High
Closed 371.45, less than 0.3% below its 52w high at 372.45 on relative volume 1.55x. RSI 75.1 is hot but the MACD line is widening above signal (10.0 vs 5.62), POC sits 12% below at 328.51 — plenty of air above.
Entry: 371 - 373 on hold or breakout · Stop: 361.40 (1x ATR) · T1: 381.50 · T2: 391.30 · R:R: 1:2.0

2. MRVL — Parabolic Semis Leader
Closed 139.69 vs 52w high 139.91. RSI 82.3 is stretched so treat this as an add-on breakout, not an initiation. Structure is pristine: price 60% above EMA200, POC 44 points below.
Entry: 139.95 on clean break · Stop: 133.60 (just below session low) · T1: 144.35 (R2) · T2: 148.75 (R3) · R:R: 1:1.5 · Note: size small — expect a retest of 135-136 first is likely.

3. MAR — Travel Breakout
Closed 377.93 fractionally below 52w high 379.56 on RV 1.23x. Full Bull stack with MACD line at 10.5 vs signal 6.16. POC 336.44 is 11% below — trend has plenty of room.

Closed 192.01, just below EMA200 at 193.05 after a +4.04% day on strong RSI expansion and MACD cross (3.20 vs 0.95). A daily close above 193.05 would confirm an EMA200 reclaim — a high-probability trend-change signal.
Entry: 193.50 on close above EMA200 · Stop: 185.20 (below pivot S2) · T1: 198.60 (R3) · T2: 206.50 · R:R: 1:1.6

BEARISH WARNINGS

NFLX — 97.31 (-9.72%). Post-earnings gap on revenue guide miss + Reed Hastings departure. Relative volume 2.97x. Price is below EMA20 (99.47) and EMA200 (99.28) — the stack is fractured. Wait for confirmation; do not try to catch the knife.

INTU — 393.25. Bear-All stack (close < EMA20, < EMA50, < EMA200). RSI 44.2, MACD line -12 below signal. Down 51.7% from 52w high. No bottom in place; bounces fade to the 20-EMA at 401.93.

WDAY — 123.83. Worst-structured NAS100 name — 55.1% below 52w high, Bear-All stack, MACD negative. Below POC and the full EMA cluster. Treat rallies to 126-129 (20-EMA) as short opportunities.

TMUS — 197.67. Bear-All stack, bearish MACD, RSI 42.2. Below POC. Telecom weakness standing out against a risk-on tech tape.

REGN — 750.57. Bear-20/50 stack despite price above EMA200. MACD has rolled over (-2.49 vs -1.82), RSI sub-50. Below POC at 763.99. Avoid longs until price reclaims the 756-757 EMA cluster.

ADBE — 244.45. Mixed stack but 42.2% below 52w high and below POC. Down day in an up tape — relative weakness flag.

EVENTS CALENDAR — NEXT WEEK

Earnings-heavy week across mega-cap tech and semis. Key NAS100 dates to watch from the tracked universe:
- Several software names report mid-week; watch guidance given INTU / WDAY structural weakness.
- Semi earnings season continues — LRCX, KLAC, AMAT guidance will determine whether the leadership group extends.
- NFLX overhang to reprice through the week as analysts update models.

US macro calendar: watch for updated Fed-speak and PCE prints in the 20-25 April window; with VIX at 17.94 and rate-cut expectations supportive, any hot inflation data is the primary downside risk to the 13-day streak.

BOTTOM LINE

NAS100 is late-stage bullish but over-extended in the short-term. The trend is your friend, breadth is narrowing (five of the ten RSI-hot names drove most of the semis upside), and two sessions without new index highs would be the first technical crack. Best trade quality sits in semis breakouts (ADI, MRVL, KLAC) and travel leaders (MAR, BKNG); cleanest short candidate remains INTU into EMA-rejections.
