I expect it should have a similar strike rate which obviously may vary. Maybe the FTSE works better due to the expectation of how the DOW will open and trade and then when the DOW opens the confirmation pushes the FTSE in line with the trend.

Remo, is your chart that you did earlier today showing this system for the FTSE over the recent period an automatic scan or manual? I am just curious as if it can do things like that I really should be getting some decent software which I have been planning to for a while. I work full-time so end of day may be the best solution for price v my use, especially so as I expect to be having much more free time in a year from now.

Thanks

Hi viper
This is manually done by me.
I do like the idea of being automated .I may get that programmed by metastock. :) :) :)

This work quite well on the ftse due to less volitility. Its normally in a range from 15- 30 points in the first hour where as the dow can have a range from 50-100+ in the first hour so more likely to be in the trade longer so more chance of a bail out. For that reason ive only traded it on the ftse.
It should work on the dow as well thou but does need to be tested thoroughly.

Remo good point about not getting greedy and changing the amounts you use. Crucial to stick to good risk management. I'm tempted to tell a friend about this but then I'm also worried he will get carried away as he has never traded before and has deep pockets. But if I keep quiet I feel like I'm holding stuff back. What should I do?

Keep it to yourself.
Trading is not for every one.
If a gambler tries this then they may think they no best and try normal trading and get themselves wiped out.
This system requires discipline and is not for everyone. If you start to get too confident that can lead to the dark side.
The problems will come when you get a whole week of bad trades. then you will start to doubt the system.Thats when you have to be strong.
Make your Million before you tell anyone.
