I think it's wishful thinking, but not in a negative sense. To me it makes a lot of sense to look at these things with an eye to future and what might or might no happen. I keep a few stock that I like on watch and take my time to move funds between them as and when one looks better or worse than another. I'm constantly looking for what might happen, then if it does I can move quickly to exploit it. I wouldn't enter your trade on the basis of a cup and handle from the chart you showed yesterday, but if it does develop then why not.

Could it be, for arguments' sake, that the handle is a 'work in progress'? Or is this is merely wishful thinking?

You have a beautiful bottom, formed over the last 6-8 months that would represent a 'cup' if you like, but I don't see a handle

Will someone with more experience than I tell me that I am, or I am not, looking at the likelihood of a cup and handle formation here please?
