Ban on Use of Stop Loss

I don't think this effects Uk markets in any way.
Apparently so few people using stops

Sounds ridiculous to me but shouldn't trouble most PI's!

Hi All,

Has anyone else heard the news that the US is intending to ban the use of Stop Loss/Limit Orders in several of their markets (I think it was Dow and Nasdaq initially but I may be wrong) to try to stop market volatility due to multiple stops being hit etc. If this is the case it would make trading nigh on impossible I would imagine and is a ludicrous idea!!

Anyone else know about this?
