Hi CT79
If a share is over £10 then you should look at 15 points minimum or more.tight stops could be between 2 - 40 points long depending on the price of the share in question.
regarding strategy ...Look at a 3 contract rule.

this is my own rule.

hope this has answered your questions.
there is more useful stuff in the learning section so thats the best place to learn how i do things.

Morning Remo, hope Ronnie and yourself are well
Quick couple of questions if I may?
When you're talking about tight stops on shares of this high value, what do you consider tight? 5pips?
Also, when buying at support for the bounce - what's your strategy for taking your first tranche off the table? Would it be x amount of points before moving stops and letting the rest run?
Thanks for all these share tips you are producing, I'm finding this to be a great section of you site.
Cheers

This was a trade from this weeks share tips.
This was meant to be a long from the trend line but this gapped down massively today so would not have entered the trade.I have a simple rule around gaps..Dont trade the first half hour of the stock market
Now im looking to go long on a first attempt of major support at 2034 on a first attempt trade. Stops should be tight.

Possible day trade on the first attempt of the gap fill at 2293 .Use tight stops of at least 15 points.

This looks like it has broken out of a trading range with rising MACD and RSI.
I would like to trade this at the retest of previous resistance (range break out point)....so if you have any views, please dont be shy to comment
