yes it could possibly be a cup and handle but the handle looks huge and keeps getting bigger!

the gap below the 200 day ema line doesn't look good tbh...this needs to find some buyers and get back above that level...and close the gap...

i'm still holding...but not buying more as its against my trading rules....if i do add it would only be if i see this at a very strong support level again which would be at 100p area....i don't think we will go there tbh.... or will add into strength.
just a small sign of a possible positive div on the rsi...so see how that develops and if this is the lows?

Looks like a cup n handle to me and yesterdays news didn't invalidate it. Sharp drop though, which took me by surprise. Did you see the story? Sky and Virgin Media/O2 linking up for Broadband supply which would be threat to BT's Open reach. Open reach is an important part of BTs strategy going forward. That can't be good for them, but at the same time you're chart suggests that not all is lost from trade perspective.
I'll stick with it for now.

What are your thoughts guys now on BT?
I bought few... but if its too bad, then would need to reassess.. all in SIPP though

Price has gapped down this morning to close the existing downside gap to 158. Currently its at 157.4. It starts to look like a speculative long trade on the basis of the SP being close to it's previous low (i.e. stops can be placed below 153). You could also argue that the price has back-tested it's break to the upside from it's descending TL resistance and is currently looking to reject the 157 area (that's the point I'd see as the back test).
