Interesting questions posed Richb..i'd be interested to see the responses.

i personally don't trade with a set target of trades which i'd like to place on any given day or week, and that is largely because i dont trade full time.

I tend to pick stocks from certain sectors because of the volatility and hope that their movements go along with technical indicators.

Folks

Quick question to anyone and everyone really ... I'm still dummy trading here although I'm getting ready to take the plunge into trading technical's from charts instead of messing with the risky Aim market ..

I've read about the 2% risk rule per trade however personally I've been risking 1% of my trading capital per trade having a maximum exposure at anyone time of 10% although much happier with 6% so 6 trades on at anyone time ...

My question is I'd like to leave some on the table for each trade just in-case it continues to upwards beyond my target .... If one moved his stop to capture that trade in profit example a close below the 8 Day EMA do you attribute this risk as part of your entire capital even if the trade is in 20% profit lets say and the 8 EMA is within 5% of the price ? I guess the ideal I'm looking for is to leave these trades on counting them as risk free but not sure if this it an ideal thing to do or am I just trying to break and bend rules before I've started :) ?

Also what's the maximum you folks have at risk at anyone time ? is 6% or 10% too much ? I know everyone will be different just trying to gauge what others do ....

Thanks Rich
