Market top and long positions

Im not taking any new long term positions yet .
Short terms im trading as normal.

Just wondering what people's thoughts are on taking long positions in stocks given the proximity of the Dow to its all time high?

I ask because I've been seeing a lot of buy signals from breakouts and stocks at supports after bullish divergences recently.
