Stops should be placed above the previous high(resistance)
If you had entered the short on the back test of the breakout then the stop should have been above the high at 376.2
The only problems with having stops above the previous resistance is that it could be really far away with some companies maybe 200+ points, but with Aviva it's fairly close by so you would have placed it above 376.2.

If you had entered the short on the back test of the breakout then the stop should have been above the high at 376.2

I'm going to be very interested to see how this plays out. Is your green box a rough area of resistance? Bearish candle is clear, how much weight should one give to this compared to the Bullish divergence? How would you view a finish above 363.5? I have resistance there?
