Palantir Government Contracts Tracker: Who Buys, How Much, Every Morning

Palantir government contracts tracker: who buys, how much, every morning

The US government is Palantir’s biggest customer, and every contract it signs is public record. Our free Palantir government contracts tracker reads those records every morning and shows how much each department spends, which contracts were signed this week, and how government sales compare with Palantir’s fast-growing business sales. Here is what it shows.

How much the US government spends with Palantir

Spending has roughly doubled every year. In the US government year to September 2023 it was $348m. The next year it was $541m, then $1.02bn, and in the year to September 2026 it reached $1.99bn. The tracker’s bar chart shows each year side by side, and the new year starting in October 2026 fills in as contracts land.

Who buys the most

In the year to September 2026 the Department of Defense spent $1.33bn, far ahead of everyone else. Homeland Security was next on $215m, then Agriculture ($135m), State ($77m), Veterans Affairs ($56m) and the Treasury ($51m). The IRS and the Department of Health and Human Services show up in the latest contracts too, which tells you Palantir is spreading well beyond defence.

The latest contracts, every morning

The tracker lists each new contract with the date, the amount, the office that signed it and a short description from the record itself, with a link to the original. Contracts can appear in the government’s records a few weeks after they are signed, so the list keeps filling in.

Government sales against business sales

Palantir’s own results split sales into US government, US business and outside the US. The tracker shows the last five quarters side by side. In the quarter to September 2026, US business sales ($984m) passed US government sales ($953m) for the first time, something you can see on the page as soon as the results are filed.

Why it matters

Government contracts are slow to win and slow to lose, which makes them the steady base under Palantir’s share price. The questions worth asking each month are: is Defense spending still rising, are new departments appearing, and is business growth keeping pace? One page answers all three, next to Palantir’s results, product progress and directors’ share sales.
