Okay guys, update from today, this may be bit premature... but..

I had bought GENL @ 162p, 5000 shares and sold them @ around 294p today.

I did also had 20000 shares (yes, 20k shares) @ 202p, from very long back.... few years back, never had stop loss, but was hoping to break even some time...
I almost sold them few weeks back as soon as I was in break even, but seeing TLW, PMO and BP going higher with oil price , took bit of gamble, and held it..
Sold today, for a nice tidy profit. all of them.. @ around 294p.

So, now it may be a sign for others, when I sell, it goes up .. normally lol :)
Good luck all
ta

Nice charts TF. ;) Good to see.

I have a little problem, Most of the charts match up to the software I use Prorealtime end of day, but RDSB is different. :pinch:

Have a look at this...

Prorealtime, RDSB Daily.

RDSB-Daily.png

IG, RDSB Daily.

RSDBIG.png

At first glance they look similar going up, but the Feb - Mar period, IG is the same as your chart, clearly gone through the low on 9/2, but Prorealtime shows it hasn't broken through yet. :woohoo:

Does anybody have a different chart, or does anybody use Prorealtime through IG?

good work LTV.... :)

Nothing wrong with buying stocks under the 200 day ema line as such.....but only after it manages a 1,2, 3 low...or a h/l, and h/h.... ;)

anyone want to check the stocks below for this??
i will take a look as well....but no time, possibly until the weekend... :side:

ISA shares.

I just did a quick review to see which shares are above or below the 200SMA, on both the daily and weekly charts.

I did the top 15 FTSE firms, as I believe it makes up for over half of the FTSE value.

..............................................Daily200 Weekly 200

1 RDSB Royal Dutch Shell........Below Above
2 HSBA HSBC Holdings............Below Below
3 BATS British American Tob.....Below Above.... 50 CROSSED 200
4 BP. BP.....................................Above Above
5 GSK GlaxoSmithKline............Below Below.... 50 CROSSED 200
6 DGE Diageo...........................Below Above
7 AZN AstraZeneca..................Below Above
8 GLEN Glencore.....................Above Above
9 VOD Vodafone Group...........Below Below.... 50 CROSSED 200
10 RIO Rio Tinto.......................Above Above
11 LLOY Lloyds Banking..........Above Below
12 PRU Prudential...................Below Above
13 ULVR Unilever....................Below Above.... 50 CROSSED 200
14 RB. Reckitt Benckiser..........Below Below
15 BARC Barclays...................Above Above

10 below on the daily and 5 below on the weekly.

It hasn't quite come out as expected.

Some charts may follow. :pinch:
Last Edit: 14 Mar 2018 08:44 by longterm_view. Reason: missed chart headings

not a bad idea Paitech, something i need to do as well tbh...

BP and Vodafone come to mind....stay big and safe for isa's i think....but wdik...but they both should come down a tad lower imvho....

Maybe you can make soem suggestions....and we can all give them the charting workover, and see what looks good?

Dear all,
I was thinking of an idea where we all can be winners.
I have 40k£ for last year's ISA (mine and wife's) to invest and in next month, will get another 40k£ allowance too. So total 80k£.
Is there any way we can find some good shares with good dividend to invest please.
I am open to idea of selling the shares when it goes too high to bank profit.
Any ideas welcome
Thanks
G
