Broken below a log term main up trend line from 2021. It could be a bear trap...so a break below key suppot around 447/450p area is needed to confirm. Its been stuck in that range for 6 weeks or so. If i'm going to make a call here it would be for this to eventually drop back to 250p. Longer term i think this will make another lower low....so below 185p imvho... Would it bounce of 291 , which is 50 dma or 271 which is 200 dma?
or will it bounce off the trendline.... tempted to buy at 270 for sure... ta G

This looked to be in trouble until todays strong move. See the two gaps lower....one effectively below the key 200 day ema line.... the second gap lower as it was fighting to hold on to the 50 day ema line... Now it seems to be hanging around the 250p support area.....never a good idea to retest a support.... The rsi....is also below the 50 neutral level which is also indicative of more downside... Seems to stock specific....as the main markets and crude have been doing ok.....  Lets see....i think 170p looks very possible here...if it loses 250p and stays below that number... I think caution here with bp.....imho I see what you say to add more if it drops.....something i used to do quite often....but it rarely works out well.... Personally i'm trying to change the why i trade.... i'm making an effort not to ave down on losers....and trying to avoid stocks that are not technically bullish.... Its broken 200dma with huge surge! The opec news , plus news from saudi, plus Brent hitting 55$ ....

I think we could well see a bounce now....even if its only a short lived one... The rsi is below 30... Well this looked like it was going to fly away not that long ago...
 It has really been dumped recently.... Crude oil...has been moving down through Oct/Nov....usually strong months for crude... while we may get a rally on crude...and hence oil stocks...as both are very oversold. i think the upside may well be limited...just a oversold rally...then down again maybe? I think caution on oil stocks...over the coming months may not be a bad idea imvho... atb, wdik, dyor, trendfriend |
