gkp - daily.
uk.advfn.com/p.php?pid=chartscreenshotsh...A2T0pIN6Yf4%2F6yk%3D

bounced off the main trendline....so that and the 20 and 50 ema lines are the main levels....no break no lower....
if this does lose those levels....then it can go to the levels i posted yesterday...

good luck,

Well you can never rule it out with GKP!

That sort of bearish rsi div....makes it uninvestable for a new entry here imvho...
If it does rally...a breakout of that rsi resistance will be the first signal...

i think a p/b to around 225p or to the 200 day ema line cannot be ruled here for imvho...

lets see...

Still hold whats left of my original shares post dilution but have been semi trading them with some other capital.

Thankfully sold half at around 206 and then sold the rest on the big down day the other week. Will consider them again in the future but sitting on the sidelines for a better price at the moment.

Still early days here....but we have a p/b taking place atm....this should now test the 50 day ema line at around 168p...
failure at that key level, should see a further drop to around 140p....and i think i would be tempted long here if we see that area..

gkp daily.
uk.advfn.com/p.php?pid=chartscreenshotsh...oVnssZ2l83xLNm/+ZKA=

this should now come of the boil, the rsi is overbought and showing a bearish divergence....so it showing the first signs of cooling down.
It has also hit the top of broadening triangle....so if your trading this, it looks like a good time to bank some at least.....and look for p/b towards the 20 and 50 day ema line to get back in....around 180 to 160p area.....just my honest opinion...

Well it's not surprising with oil and main markets moving down to see GKP also move down.
maybe its an idea to look back to see where this could find some support....
Just for info only, the lowest this has been historically, (from what i see anyway) is around 5p!!
Strong support as well at 10p area. but i think 10p will eventually break down, making 5p the area to snatch a few of these and hope!!! :pinch:

I don't see anything special or bullish here atm....
Except we could have had a exhaustion candle yesterday, but this needs to be backed up with some kind of bullish breakout....trenndline or even rsi....to see a short term bear market rally.

ATM, this is more likely to go down than up imho....as the trend is still down.

Trendfriend. :)

I totally hear you...my first GKP purchase was 10.5p and I only took my money out at £2 plus, so I had a great ride.

My only regret was not taking the free shares out at £4.
I kept them and I have added some at 40p and some at 30p, so I hope to get some at "a bottom" what ever that is, and hold for the end game.
Same situation with XEL one day....I will look back at this part of the oil cycle and laugh into my Shiraz :)

Perhaps what we are witnessing is capitulation? Heavy volume on down days, reaching and pushing for a final bottom?
The lowest this share has been is 4.8p and that was in MAR 2009 with no oil, no super giant "world class" oil finds, admittedly in a touch part of the world, ....but on shore.
We are now pushing oil through the pipeline, no more trucking 2000Km and as a low cost producer of 40K barrels a day....I think we now have limited downside (gulp....did I just say that?)

dinarvets.com/forums/index.php?/topic/21...zani-8-billion-dolla

Perhaps its always darkest before the dawn ? ;)

Here is hoping to a better 2016

Volume is some 18 million today....quite the exchange of shares going on....

Thoughts abound on a take over,....or a potential purchaser doing a number on the stock, bashing and using their "power" to get the sp lower.

All doesn't add up to me.
From pure market (buy & sell) perspective, how does it look intra day? (I don't have such a service, only end of day closing price data).

Redid the chart here, this time taking the absolute bottom of the candles.
Gives a target of just under 14p.....as opposed 14.5p on the last chart...
With the old gap @ 14.25p... i think the best entry is around that level, 14p imho...

This is very high risk, and i may not even take the trade tbh...

Looks like this got saved by the news today....only delays the inevitable imho..
Weekly GKP chart....
Same old GKP, has'nt changed at all, all sorts of bull and bear trap breakouts everywhere...
you can see i had to use my imagination when i was drawing those trendlines!!
Anyway this is the channel it's been in most of this year....gives a target 14.5p atm....
I think it will get hit in the next week or two...but lets see..
No bullish signs thus far, and unless we get a RSI breakout, or a move above the 20 day sma, it will stay that way.

Paitech you make it look easy.... GKP's not for the faint hearted...that trade could have gone either way imho..but must say, well done on closing with profit...

Trendfriend.

Iraq’s Kurds Make November Payment to Oil Companies: Statement
By Grant Smith

“Today the KRG Ministry of Natural Resources has authorised the release of the November payments to the oil exporting companies in the Kurdistan Region, in line with the previous monthly payments made in September and October,” according to e-mailed statement from KRG.

* “The KRG continues to adhere to its payment policy to allow
for the exporting companies to cover their ongoing costs and
maintain production”

* “The amounts of monthly payments will improve when export
increases and or the oil prices recover from their present
level”

No, i don't think so...
the double bottom @ 20.25p has been broken, and pierced.... although it has bounced back, it is hanging around that level now....
Chances are this will most likely close at or close to today's lows...

The correct trade here is short... but any news will send it rocketing higher... so not worth the risk...and the long is also a gamble, as technically this is bearish....

unless you want to gamble stay out imho... ;)

Regards,
trendfriend.

Wondering the same.
News/fundamentals-wise, GKP received two payments from KRG in Sept and Oct towards oil already produced and sold by KRG (that GKP haven't been paid for yet currently totalling over $250m IIRC) of $12m each time and paid roughly mid-month. Many not unreasonably believe the key to improving investor/market sentiment is for payments to be regular and hopefully escalating in amount paid per month. The November payment being now later than expected (but still widely expected given the upcoming Kurdy O&G Conference in London early next week) allied with both POO and very recent geopolitical developments in the ME area in general aren't helping here obviously. Major concern GKP-wise is money in the kitty dwindling rapidly even with reduced OPEX to the point that without REGULAR monthly payments the kitty runs dry to the point that BHrs get involved… KRG have also been ordered to pay DANA $100m within the next week or so which won't be helping the KRG kitty currently strained by Peshmerga and immigrant expenses and low POO).
As ever - in my experience with GKP at least - no more than a punt that could go either way.
Good luck to any here deciding to take a punt!

I have been watching this closely to see if it hold the 20 day ema @29p, it has broken below.
which logically makes one think this will at least re test the lows imho. :(
(Barring an amazing last minute recovery off course.)

Seymour on your chart where you have labelled 2 is not a higher low. Yes it’s a red bar but it wasn’t even lower than the previous bar so in affect the upwards move is continuing. The 1 need to be placed at the top of the bar which you have labelled 3. Then ideally we will have a few days of a downward move and as long as it doesnt go lower than 21 area you will be able to label your number 2 bar once it starts to move up again.

Then 3 will come once the 35/36 area is cleared.

Remo

I have just noticed on your BP chart that you are marking your 123 lows the same as I am, 1 being the high, 2 the higher low and 3 the break of the high.

Why when I researched after being pulled up on my numberings that I found many number 1 as the low, 2 as the high and 3 as the higher low (which in my thinking would make it a 1234 low as 4 would be the break of the previous high)

Any way, guess it matters not as all the same with a high, higher low and break of previous high.

Thanks Remo.

Where you say inside bar, are you meaning as the candle marked with the 2 is within the range of the candle marked 1 (of my miss marked 123) that it does not qualify?

Generally I do look for more of a swing with 123's with a more defined resistance broken.

Still baffled why I have been numbering them wrong

Cheers
