see some Oil stocks first..they have looked bearish for some time....even though they rallied strongly after the first big drop a few weeks back....
crazy rebound based on very little....no oil co makes any money at 15 bucks :pinch:
i think low prices may stay for months and we will see casualties even some big ones going under imvho....

stay out of these stocks imho...

it shows in the charts...here's a few
tlw - daily (bearish)
uk.advfn.com/p.php?pid=chartscreenshotsh...3XPKO3UMwy9NjMFtiBU=

pmo - daily. (bearish)
uk.advfn.com/p.php?pid=chartscreenshotsh...v8eqgVzLzseeakWAw%3D

rdsb - daily. (800p target)

bp. - daily (sub 200p target)

Mediclinic,

MRA4, I think they have cancelled there dividend, 17/4, that might be some price weakness.

Next week will be interesting for the stock.

Double bottom or lower low.

Mediclinic international- (MDC) I think 245 is currently a key area of support.

yes possibly around 800p or a tad lower for rdsb is possible. thats the target for this broadening triangle.

rdsb - daily.
uk.advfn.com/p.php?pid=chartscreenshotsh...vHk8KDXWnaS/gmihhDo=

rolls royce - rr.
uk.advfn.com/p.php?pid=chartscreenshotsh...W5G1PStC2%2F7OjqQ%3D

bullish div on the rsi does suggest the low should in on this now....
i may buy some of these soon...or maybe wait for eod close above 356p first...

Hi TF,

If you are going to do something like this, with the charts, files attached weekly/daily, things are going to get really ugly. That implies Shell around £8. :pinch:

as far as any shares (and funds too outside of pensions) are concerned, completely on the sidelines.

Simply scalping the markets right now (oil, gold, spx, ftse, and mostly.... The Dow). Fish n' Chip money, sometimes 20-30 over in a day. I've been lucky - mostly working from home on one screen, whilst "clicking to collect from IG" on the other screen.

It's a privilage that many folks, with regret don't have; all the more reason to do what i can with what i have, because you never know when bad luck strikes i guess!

Stay Safe folks!

Great Picks as always TrendFriend.

Will be looking to add to the ol' ISA - but not just yet (personally) - perhaps more weakeness, perhaps not.

Maybe that's where Warren Buffett's quote becomes even more prophetic towards so many companies:

"Only when the tide goes out do you discover who's been swimming naked."

Stay Safe - and great calls of late - keep on posting man!

TF,

Great charts as usual. :P

I am also waiting, I did buy crude for long term.

I haven't bought any stocks yet.

I bought crude on way up, well, it was on the way up, it's now come all the way back. :woohoo:

i think i'm just starting to look at some stocks a little bit more positively....the first bull signs starting to appear on some stocks...while the lows have gone...still a not a bad place to enter with a longer term view...maybe even safer to enter now imvho... ;)
although i'm still waiting and watching tbh...

some charts here.
ezj- daily.
uk.advfn.com/p.php?pid=chartscreenshotsh...sWWDJYtRhacecSfww%3D

this look like its trying to breakout of a 1,2,3, low ;)
689p is the key...i want to see a weekly close above before entering, but wdik...

glencore - daily.
uk.advfn.com/p.php?pid=chartscreenshotsh...3KxM3BxISx9qCkDd4%3D

138p is the key...again want to see a weekly close above that number.

vod - daily.
uk.advfn.com/p.php?pid=chartscreenshotsh...9rh%2Fi2NHX%2Fhgc%3D

this still looks bearish imvho...broken below the triangle..wait as no buy signal here...

ccl - daily.
uk.advfn.com/p.php?pid=chartscreenshotsh...t9ajj6efDpLCP9JVc%3D

despite the decent rally here....will it make a lower low?

bp -daily
uk.advfn.com/p.php?pid=chartscreenshotsh...uQ+fzNPCUcuW662/p1g=

again broken the triangle and looks bearish imvho...despite the strong rally it should drop back from here a tad at least...imho..

so some stocks looking stonger...although not hugely convincing yet...and some stocks look weaker....so a still a bit mixed...i'm thinking of waiting a tad longer before entering maybe till next week before deciding...but as always wdik...

on the 29th of March i posted a list of stocks and all of them looked they had bear flag patterns....
since then we have had this amazing recovery and rally on the markets....so you would think they all look really bullish right?

well not really....i don't see any of them making a high/high...or 1,2,3 low formation yet.... as far as i can see:whistle: escpet for bp and rdsb....even they don't really look convincing imvho..
which really is the minimum requirement for turn around or bottomed out stock....

whats strange is the bear flag has been replaced with this unusual looking triangle  :silly:
almost all of them are showing some kind of triangle....is it a bear pennant??
guess we need to see which way it breaks out from the triangle for further direction....imvho...

these are the links....for some charts...

They are issuing 64.5 million new shares at $8....approximately 10% of share float...and hence why the sp is hovering at around $8.

the daily shows a relief rally after the rsi fell to a oversold level of around 4 out of 100!
this then formed a bear flag....and this has now broken down from that consolidation and will most likely make another l/low imvho.....
The chart is very bearish...
I didn't look too closely at the fundamentals...tbh the chart says it all ;)
i did see this article www.ft.com/content/c3890c4e-d8a7-41ae-abea-b8bb714d803b
That's a unsustainable rate of interest imho...and makes this stock one to avoid (but then wdik!)
especially considering they are burning through $1 bill per month!

This one is at support currently....
I don’t no any fundamentals for this company but this is the worlds largest cruise company and once this crisis is over people will be back to cruising , obviously in the next few years ....
Once they get a foothold of this virus I’m sure Cruse companies will recover.....
If this company did go bust, I’ll only lose a little bit of money..and for me the gamble is worth the effort as it’s a long term play from this level...5.94.......
The lowest I’d expect this to go will be around £3.... if £6 does not hold....
But considering this was. £50 a share company....I see the risk reward for this....
In this time and day, there are loads of shares that look cheap....there will be bargains out there but picking them is the hardest one but if you strike it lucky then you could easily end up with a company that could do a 10 bagger......
Obviously I’m willing to lose all the money ive invested in this company so please do your own research ...

These are just a few for my long term basket as some of these are well over done....but there is good chance that it will go lower...
Trying to find the bottom is pretty hard....
Once ftse 100 hit 61.8 fib levels i started to accumulate some shares.......
I’ve only invested 25% of my equity’s.......
The main bulk will be invested once I see the true bottom....
Bear markets last 6-9 months as this has only been over a month it’s far from over...

Good luck and stay safe....

Just looking at the support levels for Carnival.

I have 607, and 341, nothing in between, which is weird

Thanks TF for all those charts..
I think we need to think differently if we have to make some in ice dosh.
I think many of the oilies won't be able to survive this. So there will be a consolidation.
We have to look for oilies, for eg who are still making profit at these oil prices.
Eg Kurd based, and some north sea based.
Similarly in other industries.,.

What I think, and I wanted to say on 23 march,

I think most shares I mentioned below, GLEN, GENL, GKP, LLOY,RMG,BP has hit its lows.....
I dont think it would go there again..

Markets may go down bit, but I think we shall bounce back in few months to higher numbers.

I wish I had funds on hand, atleast I would have done 66% investment now...and some I would have already got out too....

Stay safe, trade safe all

Few charts added...
My main ones are RMG, LLOY, BP., GKP(yes, still has it, needs to average down to get out)
GLEN, JOG. I used like PMO and TLW, but I think both may be taken over or go under.

All these above share should be bouncing back, from the lows and most has divi too.
I thought BP. at 222p was my target to start my buys, and I see its already hit it.

I am very short in funds as I have recently moved.

stay safe and trade safe you all..

Bugger.

I was waiting for the dow to hit the 61.8% fib, before buying anything. :woohoo:

Watching everyday, but not trading.

I’ve bought a few shares for the long term....obviously they could go a lot lower....

Carnival
EasyJet
Versarian
Moderna
Fulgent
Uber

These are just a few for my long term basket as some of these are well over done....but there is good chance that it will go lower...
Trying to find the bottom is pretty hard....
Once ftse 100 hit 61.8 fib levels i started to accumulate some shares.......
I’ve only invested 25% of my equity’s.......
The main bulk will be invested once I see the true bottom....
Bear markets last 6-9 months as this has only been over a month it’s far from over...

Good luck and stay safe....

Asc - daily.
uk.advfn.com/p.php?pid=chartscreenshotsh...0v+5dsYsVMbOysB20uo=

I like Asos...problem is technically no reason to be long here atm imvho....

You can see the pivot level on the chart above...This has broken below that pivot level at around £21....

worse still if i zoom in on the chart here...
uk.advfn.com/p.php?pid=chartscreenshotsh...Hak86W+PIV3nsb/z+LQ=

you can see that (near enough) gapped below....that key level...which is a momentum trigger and a sign things are not over yet with the trend...

issue is the next support is around £11.
below that nothing to around £1....that is not a typo...

wait and watch here....that pretty much goes for all stocks imvho...

Easyjet...
This has come back to the trendline....and a break below looks almost inevitable... :pinch:

These markets are in dangerous territory now imvho....if that level (550p) gets busted this could a lot lower....will see some numbers later...

This stock has fallen some 75% from the highs...and is still getting sold off... Some very long term holders must selling to see this still going down....

just a quick one here...one of the stock picks form the weekend...

ezj - weekly
uk.advfn.com/p.php?pid=chartscreenshotsh...WfeKBwr59cQNtAvctpw=

trendline hit and held perfectly

ezj - daily.
uk.advfn.com/p.php?pid=chartscreenshotsh...tK1w142mF6nWHMOh0%3D

the target of the broadening triangle held almost perfectly...
Problem is i didn't buy any....i didn't think it would hit that level so quickly...and tbh i wasn't in a buying mood anyway....

Let see what this does from here....another test of that main trendline could see it fail ;)
Quite probably still very early days for this market reversal....

I normally gauge the fear from these type of people and if there not worried then i suspect we have a lot more to go...lol...
But common sense does say its just the beginning as so many companies are going to have profit warning and a few will go bust. Ill say around 90% will be missing there targets due to china being shut for 2 months and on top of that you have business closing due to virus in the western world which will destroy there bottom line so hence why i cant see that this is over.

good shout Remo.

...and without trying to add more woe, there are a few more factors to consider:

1. OPEC+ vs US Shale

2. The Global Economic Slowdown with or without Corona

3. The over-extended and overly heavy valuation of Stocks, or as our cousins over the Atlantic like to say, "Stawks"

4. Bad news suppression [due to Corona], plenty there to give a few tree shakes.

5. For the UK, the Brexit issue isn't done in spite of what PM Johnson keeps insisting.

6. The lack of unified fiscal policy (in the face of nationlism and protectionism)

7. The weakness of the "co-ordinated" monetary policies from Central Banks (how embarrassing was the Fed by the way? 150bp worth of bullets P!$$3d down the drain just like that). And the Dollar is STILL King (all Hail the USD!)

I don't think any of us have the answer, and it could be that some stocks have already bottomed out before the index (or vice versa!), but the basing period isn't over just yet - history has shown us that (we need to start paying attention to all these expensive lessons!)

We'll get through this, and hopefully prosper too (in an ideal world, by being strictly long - but I'm not judging and have no right to judge).

I agree DOW looks like it will go lower but with regard to FTSE have you ever seen a bear market where 61 fib has been hit within a month though Remo?...and surely private investors are aware, the daily drops have been headline news for a couple of weeks now.

Genuine question.

Buffett; Buy when others are fearful.

Has anybody bought anything yet?

I've bought a small position in crude. £1 per point. Anybody else??

Or waiting for 18,000 on dow?

im personal waiting for atleast 15000 points on the dow as that's the 61.8 fib level on the dow…
Ftse has already hit the 61.8 fib …..
But i see more pain before gains as corona virus has not really hit America properly and i expect uk to shut down soon so doubtful we have seen the low.
Private investors are not in panic mode just yet as most don't know about the markets yet...once everyone is aware then may start to look for bottoms..

also bear markets are never over in a month....normally around 6-9 months long...

I bought some asos in my pension earlier, concerned they could go lower but thought i was being greedy holding out and they be a good buy over 1-2 years. Decided to stick them in the bag and spend my time looking for quick wins.

I had been wondering if the all out panic this morning meant we could be at the bottom. China markets had nearly recovered after their drops at start of year before Europe/US started dragging them back down. Did make me wonder if the actual impact of the virus hitting would be less impactful than the fear has been.

Buy on rumour, sell on news type scenario.

Been watching asos for a while as thought had potential for a wave five to take them £80+ but smashed through 2014 low (W2) this morning.

Still think good buy long term, expect online retailers to do well out of social distancing as people turn to phone shopping when bored.

Dart Group is looking like a good bet when it bottoms out

I looked into this, this could be a great buy. ;)

Down 38% today, feel sorry for any long term holders, but their results were great.

Going to throw this out there: How about Carnival?

Also looking into:

Wizz Air
Glencore

Trendfriend, your 550 on Easyjet, has been hit today. Good call. :P

All approximations, of course, as who knows how this is going to pan out and what do I know anyway??
